Electrolux: Electrolux Aquires Former Merloni Washing Machine Plant
Electrolux has signed an agreement to expand its operations in the growing emerging markets in Eastern Europe through an acquisition of a factory in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.
The acquisition strengthens the Electrolux presence in Eastern Europe and will function as a part of the Electrolux supply base for markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Ukraine participates in the free trade framework within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which includes Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and other countries.

Electrolux: Electrolux Buy Daewoo - More Details Emerge
According to reports an Iran-based household and kitchen appliance manufacturer is one of only two suitors picked to bid for the troubled Daewoo Electronics.
Entekhab Industrial Group, which makes fridges and cookers and other white goods, is bidding against the Swedish giant Electrolux for the control of the debt-ridden Daewoo Electronics

Electrolux: Electrolux Bids To Buy Daewoo
Electrolux has said that it has made a bid to buy Daewoo Electronics of South Korea.
Electrolux spokesman Anders Edholm said Wednesday that "we can confirm we've made an indicative offer" but declined to comment on the amount of the bid.

Electrolux: Electrolux Claims New Dryer Saves 40% Of Energy
Heat pump dryers appear to promise dramatic energy savings, they dry garments so much more gently than traditional dryers so the results are superb it is claimed. Many owners would disagree and we've heard that some aren't happy at all with the results.
This is because the heat pump technology allows the dryer to operate at temperatures that are almost 25°C lower than comparative dryers without compromising drying time, says Eelctrolux.

Electrolux: Electrolux To Spend €5.2 Million In Hungary
Swedish white goods manufacturer Electrolux has earmarked €5.2 million for product development at its Nyíregyháza, eastern Hungary plant in 2010, János Takács, Regional Chief Administrative Officer of Electrolux Central Eastern Europe, said in a press conference.
